A lifelong music lover, Lucy was introduced to Northern Soul, Motown, Philly Soul and Disco by her big sister (a bit of a disco diva) when she was a small fry growing up in 1970s Belfast.

Lucy has expanded her musical tastes since then but always seeks out the groove and the beat that creates that bit of magic in a piece of music. From electronica to funk; acid jazz to house, the 90s and noughties was a time when some fantastic, genre-defying music was produced.

Freedom FM's EarlyBird on Sunday mornings brings you an eclectic mix. The tunes may rekindle memories from those two decades or may be a journey in to new territory and rhythms. The beat goes on.
