MEET THE TEAM

Our Presenters

Greg Freegrove

I began my journey into radio at the very beginning of Freedom FM in 1995. I always had a huge interest in it so when I got the opportunity to present a show I jumped at the chance. At the beginning I think we were broadcasting to about a half mile radius but no one cared because it was such an exciting hobby to have as a teenager.

Wayne Scales

I started my radio gig way back as a 17 year old from Mrs Powers shed in Dublin on Freedom FM in 1998. She made savage tea and lovely sambos too. They’re badly missed!

Paul Kavanagh

This adventure started for me back in 1994. Kiss 103 FM came on air, and from there my radio journey began. This started lifelong friendships with Ralph McGarry and Sean Power.

Sorcha Herlihy

Growing up the radio was never not on in our home, and I was always fascinated with the Presenters and DJs and how they always made you feel like you were in the room with them, so I got myself a Casio voice recorder and would record myself on tapes pretending I had my own radio show.

Elaine Kane

I Joined the freedom FM crew when I was only about 17 years old. I sent in a letter ( yes, a letter, with like an actual pen) into the mark Brennan show asking him to play ” olive – you’re not alone”. Just so happens, my geography teacher at the time heard my request on the radio and told me she knew mark. Long story short, Mark Brennan and DJ power arranged for me to come down to the freedom FM studio to sit in on one of the shows. I was so quiet and shy at the time, but Louise Jordan took me under her wing.
